Kypreos: Ryan Miller for Patrick Kane?

Just a rumour that he's said a couple times now but it's actually not that bad if you think about it.

I wouldn't do it if I was Chicago that's for sure. I know goalies can play until late 30s but Miller is giving up 7 years in age. If I was Chicago I'd keep the big 4 Toews, Kane, Keith and Seabrook together forever.

If Miller wasn't playing like such a bag...I still wouldn't consider it.

There is enough starting-back up goalies in the league the Hawks could just try and get one of them. No need to throw away one of your two franchise forwards for a goalie whose best days are behind him so far in his career. It isn't like the Buffalo defence is a piece of shit, so I just don't see the point in Kane for Miller. Kane is also 37th in league scoring.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

I would hate to see Kane go even if it was for a goalie that is light years ahead of the terrible twosome we have between the post right now.

Stan bowman hates prioritizing goalies so this will never happen.

The problem is value.....remember the Ducks letting Bryzgalov go on waivers to the Coyotes years ago? The NHL is saturated with goalies, and they just don't carry the value they used to. Even if Miller was the same age as Kane, I wouldn't do it because the value isn't there.

No way I do this if I'm Chicago.

So the real question is, what is Kane's value? Honestly have no idea why this is even being talked about, because his value is through the roof since he is only 23. And when you remove Kane, you remove that threat the Hawks have on both lines now. Remember, Kane was moved to centre on line two and has been good at the faceoffs.

To me, there is just so much more upside to Kane then Miller. Power play, 2nd line, first line with Toews. Not to also mention with Toews they are the face of the franchise and the money they make off those two is insane.

This would be an all-time shit deal if it were to happen. There's no use in trading Patrick Kane for a goalie when you can pick up a half decent goalie for next to nothing. Any stiff that they pick up can post a .910 if the defense gets its shit together.

QFT., Their defense is the main issue, and will continue to be until they get new players.

                    at this deal.

Trading a 23 year old who still has through the roof potential for a 31 year old goalie who is seemingly regressing/on the downside of his career?

                    Pass.
