There's some talk on Twitter about a Nash for Staal swap. Not sure what to make of that.

Would be interesting to see the Bruins trade Rask for him.

Kevin Paul Dupont posted on his twitter that he sees a possible three way deal between the Blue Jackets/Leafs/Flyers. Leafs get Nash, Blue Jackets get Bob and then the Flyers get something from the Leafs which I'm assuming is Schenn.

Nash to Pitts wouldn't make sense unless pittsburgh is throwing a lot of assests in.

Its going to take some rediculous deal for him to be moved.

He has a NTC as well but has said he'd be willing to waive it if the team wanted him too.

LeBrun notes the Kings, Rangers and Flyers would make sense. The Rangers have a nice piece in Chris Kreider. The Flyers have the Brayden Schenn, James van Riemsdyk or Sean Couturier. The Kings have Jonathan Bernier, forward Andrei Loktionov or Dmen Slava Voynov and Jack Johnson. The Canucks could be in the mix with Cory Schneider. Possibly the Sharks could be interested. The Leafs would for sure would be calling. One team executive said this morning, “My sense is that this will still wait until the summer, but it’s not totally impossible to get it done before the deadline.”

Yah I'm thinking unless a team is willing to sell off a lot of future because they want to get this taken care of now instead of later only to jump the gun on people but in the same token the price for him at this point is sky high.

Lebrun always says the kings for everything lol.

Nash on trade rumors: “As of right now, I’m a Blue Jacket”

              Cryptic lol I love it.

See this is just stupid in my opinion. You are about to get Nail Yakupov in the draft, so now you have a 1-2 punch with Nash/Nail, and you start to get better depth. Put Carter with Yakupov and see if that works better than Carter/Nash.

To me they have the pieces, they just need to make them all work. Their drafting has been horrible over the years, and now they want to shop their only draft pick that ever turned out to be anything worth while. Fuck that. What they need to do is find a way to get another top 10 first round pick and draft Yakupov and Alex Galchenyuk and then just let them rip it up together.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Like I said before the season, Carter isn't a guy who makes anybody on his line better. He's not a great passer and he takes a ton of shots.

A really good post from one of the guys on HFboards:

The best thing to do when trying to gauge a player's value in a trade is to look at similar examples from the past. In this case, Brad Richards and Dany Heatley.

Richards (27 yo when he was traded) fetched:
                    -Mike Smith
                    -Jeff Halpern
                    -Jussi Jokinen
                    -4th rounder

Heatley (28 yo when he was traded) fetched:
                    -Milan Michalek
                    -Jonathan Cheechoo
                    -2nd rounder

Nash (27 yo this year) will probably fetch:
-a young non-blue chip goalie with starter potential
-a young forward who can score 20+ goals
                    -salary dump
                    -non-1st round draft pick

                    Examples:
[CBJ/STL] Nash for Stewart, Halak, Colaiacovo and a 3rd
[CBJ/BUF] Nash for Stafford, Enroth, Boyes and a 2nd
[CBJ/TOR] Nash for Kulemin, Gustavsson, Lombardi and a 3rd
[CBJ/WSH] Nash for Brouwer, Neuvirth, Hamrlik and a 2nd
[CBJ/PHI] Nash for van Riemsdyk, Bobrovsky, Shelley and a 3rd

Would you assume if Nash is dealt, the Carter situation gets worse? I can't imagine his desire to be a Blue Jacket (lol!) would do anything but fall (if possible?)

Doubt Washington makes a trade for Nash, but a power play of Ovechkin, Backstrom and Nash would be absolutely deadly. Though with Semin and potentially Mike Green coming off the books, I would never say never.

Where can I sign up for Nash for van Riemsdyk, Bobrovsky, Shelley and a 3rd? I would do that in a heart beat

Eklund (LOL) saying Bernier, Hunter, Penner and a pick for Nash.

Already been turned down by a kings reporter saying no truth.

I stopped following eklund like 2 years for this very reason.
