I am surprised more teams were not going for him, but then you have to take into considering that many teams want experienced netminders, and not rookies. Leafs didn't need another young goalie, where as Ottawa has the experiences Craig Anderson and they just need someone to take the load of him more then Auld. So this is a perfect deal with the Sens who need that second goalie.

No shit, I'm looking beyond that when he comes back, or into next season. Auld has played like 8 games, Lehner 1, and Anderson like 54 or something stupid. The guy needs a break and needs some more nights off. Ottawa needs a back up who can go in and play 30 games a year and get wins. Anderson would have ended up with probably close to 70 starts this season, and that is just way to much.
