TNA is awful at scouting the indies, or developing guys they get in the door. CM Punk should have been an easy homer for them. They squandered Jay Lethal time after time. It took them forever to give Aries a 2nd chance. They got Consequences Creed in the door, and he was kinda over, and they got bored (like always) and moved on. He eventually went to WWE of course. Tyler Black should have been another easy one, because when Hulk came in he was all about how they're lacking big men. Which they were. So of course they bring in Terry?
They only seemed to do well with developing Nigel, and we all know what happened there. They really haven't done well developing any new indy talent since 05 and before. 7 years of being able to get guys before the WWE, and they've got just a god-awful track record. It seems a real role-reversal. It used to be that TNA could build up new talent, and WWE had trouble. The whole Spirit Squad and WGTT and Eugene and Boogeyman, etc. But now, they seem to have gotten a lot of kinks worked out. They've got a really talented roster in FCW (if it still exists).
