@ this garbage. Now being the longest tenured team in the league without a playoff appearance is downright embarrassing for this franchise. The public apology in itsself is embarrassing, instead asking for forgiveness for your let downs present a format to make things better. We gotta have the worst ownership in all of hockey.

This is the first year of public apologies and such from them and I think its starting to hurt their bottom line. The slide that started in Feb. was crazy and it got the point where I personally didn't even give a fuck about the team and I started to not watch games. I'm sure someone like me who has basically watched every game over the last 3 or 4 years starting to skip out on games and cancel leafstv is what they are afraid of losing. The amount of empty seats over the last 5 or 6 home games was probably really worrysome. Granted those tickets were sold people not being in the arena buying beers and such probably dented their income by a small % point.
Whats funny is their prospect pool is a hell of a lot better now its just everyone is still young and slowly starting to emerge but this is clouded by the whole not being in the playoffs for 8 straight years and its starting to eat away at the fan base.

Sounds like Burke wants a copy of Getzlaf. That would definitely be an upgrade and probably give a guy like Kessel a whole lot more protection; which is relevant since Kessel is one of the softest star players in the league. Problem is playmakers built like power forwards don't grow on trees.Comment

Too soft, got worn down and slowed as the season went on.Comment
