Another record low for UFC: UFC on Fuel 3

The all-time UFC-FUEL TV ratings include:

UFC on FUEL TV 1 ratings (main card): 217,000 viewers
UFC on FUEL TV 2 ratings (main card): 197,000
UFC on FUEL TV 3 ratings (main card): 173,000

UFC on FX 1 ratings (prelims): 148,000
UFC on FOX 2 ratings (prelims): 144,000
UFC on FX 2 ratings (prelims): 113,000
UFC on FOX 3 ratings (prelims): 86,000
As you can see, last nights show was the least viewed non-prelim Fuel show yet. The number keeps dropping from the 217k debut show. Bellator level numbers, here.

I'm sure Dana's spin will be that UFC still delivers a much higher average than what Fuel normally gets, and this is true. However, you can not ignore the negative trends. Even the prelims on Fuel have dropped steadily from where they started.

The next FOX show could potentially break the UFC/FOX deal if it does not deliver. There is no way FOX stays behind a prime time product that delivers in the 1.0's in the key demo.

For comparison, the C-level shows before the FOX deal, UFC on Versus, averaged around 850,000 viewers.

That's not apples to apples because less people get Fuel, but the fact of the matter is aside from UFC on FOX 1, which has to be chalked up as a novelty at this point, the UFC product was seen by more eyeballs on Spike than it was on FOX, FX, and Fuel. That's amazing when you think about it. TUF is doing it's worst ratings ever, and everything else is trending downward.

Surprised it was even that high. Putting shows on a Tuesday night is absurd and unneeded. Surely somehow within Zuffa has to know what over-saturation is.

Amir Sadollah is not a draw, even for small-time TV. Why they put him in the co-main (especially over someone like Cerrone) is beyond me.

Don't forget the boxing match, even though it started a solid 90 minutes after the last UFC fight ended, and even though the last big boxing match was the same night as UFC on FOX 1 that drew 8 million viewers.
