If they could get the OK from Fox...as long as it doesn't air in some shitty slot like Saturday at 2PM or a weeknight at 1AM....this could be huge.
This hasn’t been announced yet, but they are working on a deal for FOX to air the Countdown to Sonnen vs. Silva. Depending on the time slot, that could make it the most watched countdown show in history just because of the station it’s on. The funny thing is they had to practically pull teeth to get Anderson Silva to agree to do it. Think about that. Your pay is based on how many PPV buys you sell, they give you a golden ticket to sell PPV buys with the preview being on a major network, plus it’ll be replayed on other FOX properties during the week of the show. And the guy takes the attitude that he’s already sacrificed and given in allowing the fight to be moved to Las Vegas (which will also increase the number of PPV buys, meaning his paycheck) and he doesn’t want to give in again. As best we can tell, it is happening.
