Smith trains catch wresting with Billy Robinson, and Robinson used to say that if Smith dedicated himself 100% to training he could be UFC hvt champ within a year. He says Smith would be in the mold of Josh Barnett, but bigger and more athletic.

"There is an MMA career coming for me. I'd like to make my debut in the next year. It's been something I've really wanted to try out for a long time and now that I'm no longer with the WWE, it's time for me to train full time and go hard at it. I'm training with Dave Bautista's MMA facility in Tampa, and I'd also like to go train with Josh Barnett more and get more cage time with him and get my striking down 100% before I take a fight.
