      Dubinsky, Erixon and 1st believed to be 3 of 4 pieces included in Nash trade.

      @TSNBobMcKenzie
      Artem Anisimov is the 4th piece in the Rick Nash deal.

              All it took was Dubinsky, Anisimov and Erixon? (plus the first rounder)

              Great deal.

              Rangers also getting a prospect and a 3rd round pick

              Even more awesome considering the Rangers were likely offering a hell of a lot more during last season.

                Does he need to extend his contract? If so, does NY have moneys for him and enough of a team around him?

                  3rd rounder is conditional. If NYR make the stanley cup final then they get the 3rd round pick.

                  As far as money. The rangers sent over pretty much the exact same cap hit as they are getting in nash.

                  Leafs offseason training!

                    Doesn't he already have a long-term deal at under $8M per? The money in this deal is a wash, but the Rangers' top offensive line will be counting for $21 mil (counting Gaborik)...a lot.

                      Nash, Richards and Gaborik on one line and then the rest are grinders and two way players.

                      Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

                        Agreed. Though I have to think that either Nash or Gaborik ends up on the second line to balance things out. They could also still make another trade or play the waiting game in FA and possibly come down with either Semin or Doan on a one-year deal. Not sure of their cap situation though.

                          They have 13mil left to play with in this current cap system.

                            Dubinsky: Topped out in 2010-11 with 24 goals and 54 points. In my opinion Dubinsky will never break into 30 goal territory and can only get to 60 if he's getting apples from a star player. That said, he is a very good penalty killer and plays a hard game. Completely expendable for us but a good acquisition for CBJ to fill a certain role.

                            Anisimov: Has shown flashes but at 24 with 3 full seasons in the league I don't think you can put a lot of faith into the player advancing on the occasional laser wrist shot that he has. Has not scored even 20 goals yet and will not break 30 in my opinion. He is a responsible backchecker though not a grinder in any way so again you are hiring him to fulfil a limited role. With his contract expiring soon I would not be greatly surprised if he ended up on a different team in 2013-14.

                            Erixon: Early days yet for Tim Erixon, I don't think he will be a top, top player in his prime but could easily become the best part of the deal for the CBJ.

                              Sather said Anisimov was going to want a big pay day after the upcoming season, too.
