    Very Early Predictions

Let's post in this thread so we all seem "active" even though we don't really care what anyone else thinks about the coming season.

West - Vancouver, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, St Louis, San Jose, Detroit, Phoenix /// Dallas, Minnesota, Calgary, Colorado, Anaheim, Edmonton, Columbus

East - Penguins, Capitals, Bruins, Rangers, Lightning, Flyers, Sabres, Panthers /// Devils, Senators, Hurricanes, Jets, Leafs, Canadiens, Islanders

**Used city names in the West, team names in the East, don't give a fuck so shut up.

West - Vancouver, St.Louis, Los Angeles, Nashville, Detroit, Minnesota, Chicago, Phoenix /// San Jose, Colorado, Dallas, Edmonton, Calgary, Anaheim, Columbus

East - Pittsburgh, Carolina, Boston, New York R, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Buffalo /// Washington, Toronto, Florida New Jersey, Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, New York

Some of these teams are fucked to think about. In the west I think St. Louis stays strong, and I think San Jose finally tanks it out. In the east I gave Carolina the nod for the Southeast simply because I hate the entire division, and I think things come undone for Washington. I wanted to put Toronto in the playoffs, but I just couldn't. Not yet. Florida and Ottawa despite making the playoffs I have a hard time seeing, and Winnipeg I think I just tossed there. No idea where they end up.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

    "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Very hard to tell who is going to be mediocre, just outside the top 8, and who is going to be really bad.

Not sure if I am sold at all on the Capitals at #2. Love the Ribeiro addition, but if the team doesn't want to break up the Chimera/Laich/Ward line that was so great down the stretch, the second line is going to be a problem spot yet again.

I think this team will take a little bit to find the style of play that works for them, but they'll come on later in the year. I'm predicting fifth seed.
