They're putting a lot of faith in Torres. Do they have any other pure Strikers outside of Torres?

Well, Drogba is gone so... Sturridge? And it's not like they were using the piss out of Lukaku either.

With all of these MFs they've signed and now this move, it seems like they are going to try and tactically resemble Barca/Spain. kyhadley, where u at?

Good move for Romelu. Hopefully he can get some first team action, as Odemwingie and Long had a pretty good partnership going last year

This was a move bound to be made. He just wasn't going to get enough playing time behind Torres and Sturridge and you can't keep him solely for cover. We actually tried to loan him out last season but couldn't loan him the same window we bought him in, in the summer. And then because he made a few appearances during the first half we couldn't loan him in jaunary due to already having played for 2 teams.

Sturridge is a pure striker, he's been playing out of position, plus we just have to give him a chance, he's too old not to. In case of emergency, I would expect Piazon to be the 3rd striker.

I also wouldn't expect us to play anything close to Barca-ball. I'm expecting some fast, direct countering play. With Hazard and Ramires on the wings and Torres up top, pace is a huge strength for our attack.
