Everton set to enter race to sign Liverpool target Dempsey from Fulham

Everton are considering rivaling Liverpool in the race to sign Clint Dempsey from Fulham.
David Moyes is looking to bolster his squad after selling Jack Rodwell for £12m and Dempsey would be an ideal replacement for Tim Cahill.

Liverpool have bid £5m for Dempsey and could use Charlie Adam as part of any potential deal.

Moyes is also keen on Blackpool’s Matt Phillips and still has a chance of landing Adam Johnson on loan from Manchester City.

I've been listening to TalkSport all morning and I checked Everton news this morning as well and nowhere has it been mentioned. I want Dempsey to play for Everton so bad.

If he went to Everton and then Donovan followed suit, would they play up top together? Or would one of them play an attacking mid spot?

Moyes usually roles with one true forward and that man is Jelavic. Dempsey would likely fill the attacking midfielder spot that Cahill occupied. When Donovan was on loan a few months ago, he played a winger type role, usually right side.

Just gonna say that. Landy cakes has always played on the wing when in England, but he plays it soo fucking well nobody and he himself complain.
