Whhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy???
The ECW doc was THE BEST DVD that the WWE umbrella has ever put out. It was 1000% fair to ECW and a great watch.Their WCW one was trash. And yet, people want another one done? I'll never understand this obsession with ECW. It seems like the original ECW fans still love the nostalgia, but the fuckin dregs of online wrestling fans think it's the "cool" promotion to ike and are obsessed with it. I'm tired of hearing about it. It has a 100x bigger legacy than it ever should have, and people still act like it gets under-appreciated. -

Looks interesting.
What makes this something different than the other docs, is these men are outsiders and have no agenda. Plus, I think it's very interesting that they've got interview footage from ten years ago when the company first closed, and now they have new interview footage from ten years later. It will be interesting to see the changed perspectives.
They also talked to Dave Meltzer, Bruce Mitchell, Wade Keller, etc both then & now as well, which is something the other docs lack.
I hope it gets made and i'm looking forward to it.Comment

What will this story tell of ECW that has not already been told on some medium already?Comment

If it's another "remember when" project, it won't do much for me.Comment

We are trying to book these guys for the podcast. Looks like it will happen, just ironing out a date/time that works for everybody.Comment

Ask them why they'd wait until ECW has been beaten to death far beyond the point of being anything more than marginally profitable/interesting to pick the project back up.
The price seems to be in line with Nigel's kickstarter project. Only 3/4ths the price because, I assume, Nigel is paying someone to do the technical jobs, where as these guys can probably edit it mostly, if not entirely, themselves.Comment

In the can.
We ask him the tough questions. Asked him directly why he needs $25k: "Umm, its actually $23,200". Asked him why we need yet another ECW project: (silence) "That's a great question. I'm glad you asked." You guys can judge the answer he gave, we give our thoughts at the end.Comment
