Because shes actually fought in the division before and performs just as well in either. It's nothing for her to move up, so if she's as bad as she says she is then Rousey should do it or stop talking shit. Just comes off as BS to talk shit on a fighter that you know can't make your division.

Again, Rousey is the champ, Cyborg needs to come to her if she wants a crack. Plus, Cyborg is the cheater.

I don't understand your logic. Cyborg is the one with the shattered rep and something to prove. Plus, Cyborg has been fighting smaller girls her entire career, now that she is the hunter it's time she plays somebody elses game.

Cant be making demands when you are the one with the career on the brink.

Rhonda is best at 135 no doubt, 145 she was still a little heavy, for her

She is in peak physical condition at 135 and the champ, like Warner said, Cyborg has been fighting smaller girls most of her career and coming in heavy a couple of those fights

Rousey would be dumb to take 145 fight, how about Cyborg stop turning herself into a dude and lose some muscle, she has no pull in this instance for a 145 lbs fight where there is no one left, the girls still fighting there can all make 135

Rhonda just became champ, no reason to jump up

All I'm saying is that if she doesn't want to move up, that's fine and you're right she shouldn't have to given the circumstance. My problem is, she needs to STFU when she knows she's not moving up and Cyborg cannot move down. She's taller than Rousey, and bigger. In fact, Marloes is another tall and big fighter who made the cut to 135 and looks extremely drained when she does. Cyborg would be even worse. This is like Jon Jones talking shit on Overeem, which if that ever happened we'd all say that Jones is being crazy.

Meet her at a catch weight. Bottom line, this is the biggest fight in women's MMA right now. If Ronda is serious about fighting and proving herself against the best she would do what's fair to allow the fight to happen. Fighters meet in the middle all the time, champions have done it in the past as well, there's no reason Ronda should be above fighting at a catch weight.

Keep in mind, she ran to 135 in the first place so she wouldn't have to fight Cyborg. That's the one fighter she said she wasn't ready for. Now that she's in a new division, champ, and knows Cyborg won't come down, she wants to run her mouth.

Lol @ running to 135, she went and got the belt and than said she would win 145, guess what happened? Cyborg got popped like Rhonda said she would

Cyborg has been talking smack for a month now before Rhonda beat Kaufman, Rhonda responded and she holds all the cards, Cyborg needs to drop or go some where else

If anything, Rhonda should have her make 140 against someone else and not fail a drug test, that's how she should play if she will do a catch weight fight

Why do you keep saying Cyborg 'cant' come down? That's just her excuse. There's no logical reason to believe she cannot cut 10 pounds...while clean, too.

She's much bigger and taller than Ronda, she walks around at 160+lbs and people expect her to cut to 135? Plus, it isn't as easy for women to cut weight as it is for the guys. So it's not an excuse.

she went and got the belt and than said she would win 145
Good, then she should have no problem sticking to her word then. lol. Her plan was to win BOTH belts, now that she has the easier one to obtain she says she shouldn't have to move up, even though that's what she said she would do before hand. lol

Rousey is only two inches shorter than Cyborg....plus, Ronda competed at about 155 at the Olympics 4 years ago. So, how is it impossible for Cyborg to get off the juice and make 135?

While, Rousey did talk in the past of winning gold in both weight classes, this is also a quote from Cyborg herself prior to testing positive for steroids...

"I'm going to put in a valiant effort to try and make 135," Santos said through in interpreter. "Maybe if I can make a catchweight and fight at 140 first and slowly make my way down to 135, but I'm going to put in a good effort to get down to 135."
Point is, there's no reason for Rousey to leave 135 now to make things easier for a cheater.

So reason to run up and fight Cyborg after she failed a test, cyborg needs to pass a test first to get a Rhonda fight

There is no more 145 belt, so no point going for it

To be fair, Ronda was very chubby when she competed at the Olympics. Cyborg is built like shit brickhouse at her normal weight.

Cyborg still carries more weight than Ronda in her offseason, and she's still taller and has a bigger build. No matter what way you try to defend Ronda, fact is it's still harder for Cyborg to make the weight. Like I said, Ronda wanted no parts of Cyborg (at least initially) thus her reason to moving to 135. Plus, she said she would fight in both weight classes, so she's going back on her word. It's not about trying to appease a "cheater", it's about staying true to her word.

Yeah, I don't understand this mindset at all. There is absolutely no reason to accommodate Cyborg whatsoever. Ronda is on top, Ronda is the star, Ronda is the champ in the only weight class that exists. Cyborg is the cheat. Either Cyborg plays ball or Cyborg can gtfo. I don't care how much harder it is for Cyborg to make weight, tough shit. If Cyborg never gets popped, then you can make the case Ronda should move up. But at this point, I wouldn't even meet her at catch weight. 135 or get lost.

I agree. Cyborg blew her chance at a compromise when she got popped. Now she needs to adapt or call it a day.
