I'll repeat myself cause you obviously missed it.

The 2 best teams in Europe didn't even make the final last year and the winners came 6th in their own league, I mean look at the year we won it, its a knockout competition at the end of the day and once you get to the quarter finals anything can happen, its a great competition but the best team doesn't always win it. I'm just as proud of our 5 cups as our 18 league titles but I'll take winning the league over the CL anyday it means more.

      Told Y'all

granted, it is one thing to say this and another for it to actually happen in the future ... but pretty much everything i said the past few days has been back up in this press release by City

Press releases from the club itself don't mean that much. And regardless, the club should not be watering down its expectations.

but the new club roles and hiring means something. and i didn't see anything in there or anywhere else that indicated the club has watered down expectations

I'm confused on what you're saying exactly? Are you saying City are focused on youth in the CL thread? Are you letting the 200 million dollar adults off the hook? Or Mancini off the hook for blowing? In the CL thread, City and Youth policy shouldn't be mentioned unless it involves Ajax.

Good for them tho I guess.

we could keep going in circles with this conversation but i understand your desire to talk strictly CL in this thread

feel free to VM or PM me if you'd like to continue the subject and i will try to coherently explain everything i have been trying to state ... it's obvious my previous posts are no better than ancient egyptian hieroglyphics and i apologize for that.

maybe pictures will work better than words, so i leave you with this response

Granted I'm well aware City probably aren't advancing barring a miracle...However I still want them to play well today. Should be able to handle Ajax at the Etihads, but we will see. If we win today, I suppose there's still reason to believe since we have Real at home next. Who knows. I just want a better overall showing from the team in a CL game.

Not impressed with Arsenal's result today. They continue to be mediocre and that isn't acceptable.

Then again, Citeh are basically done so I guess it can always be worse...

I just at Victor Moses heading that in. Watched the whole match. Shakhtar is so much fun to watch. Both teams played brilliant. Wish it would of drew though.
