Haven't followed soccer long enough but I'm guessing this is a powerful image.

How fucking awful that a 3-1 home loss in the Champions League no longer angers me... it just makes me feel happy that it wasn't worse.

Liverpool supporters, is this what accepting mediocrity feels like?

Please dude. You're still in the Champions League and have a reasonable shot of making top 4. Bayern would roll through almost any team in the world at the moment anyways.

Talk to me when your manager declares 2-0 losses an almost perfect away performance. Or a 5-0 win against Swansea Lite has every pretending like its nothing but good times ahead. Perhaps when you outplay top teams only to blow the win because of a lapse in concentration.

All that said, I believe things are looking up for us, going to be a long tough road but we need time.

Life is good when Liverpool and Arsenal supporters are arguing over who's got it worse, although I still have to put up with Rafa.

                    What a result for Milan.

Helluva result for Milan. Well earned, too. Barcelona just never really threatened.

And wasn't meaning it as a pissing contest or a situational comparison, Blue. Just sucks when a club that should have ambitions and which has supporters who clearly expect more isn't delivering, and its at least partly the fault of those in charge. I also realize that there are tons of clubs which would love to have the "problems" of Arsenal or Liverpool, or the not-talented-enough fringe players they have. Easy to know that, tougher to keep that from frustrating...

No talk about the red card given to Nani yet?

Bummed out. Ya win some ya lose some. You get some calls, and sometimes you don't. But this one was hard to take on one hand cuz everything was going so well, but also easy to get over cuz of how blatantly shit the call was. It wasn't even close. UEFA hates United.

2004: The Porto game in the knockout rounds.
2009: Pique should have been sent off inside the first ten mins
2010: Rafael sent off for going shoulder to shoulder with Ribery
2013: This!! And Arbeloa had a worse tackle, with intent, on Evra in the first half and only gets a yellow! And Varane in the first leg had a blatant red that wasn't called.

I didn't watch the match live. So when I read the online commentators talking about a "harsh" red for a boot to the chest, I found it odd. A couple of GIFs didn't make it look much better. Watched the match on PVR tonight... yeah, that was harsh. Stupid play by Nani and definitely deserves a card, but where was the malice? Where was the injury? Tough one for United fans.
