I can see it both ways, but when Roy Keane comes out and says he understands the ref...well, that's all I need

At full speed, it looked an awful lot like van Bommel on Alonso in the World Cup. The ref was castigated for not sending MvB off, so I don't blame the ref for making the call he did

I don't think Nani does anything wrong at all. That's no more reckless than an overhead kick; it's not at a height where he can head it so what's he supposed to do? It's not even a challenge, just a surprise collision.

It's a real disappointment that a game which was entertaining both pre and post-red card will justifiably be dominated by the discussion of a referee's decision which is controversial to put it kindly. Abysmal would be the correct term.

It was terrific and nail biting sort of a series though.

My thing is, Nani is just trying to control the ball, and doesn't see him until its far too late. He had been so good all day. Such a positive outlet, so much of a danger, and he had controlled at least 3 passes like that.

I definitely would have like SAF to make some stubs quicker. But I will not fault anything they did. They all worked so hard. Something happened that they couldn't control, and to have it happen when you are in control of one of the few teams in the world that's bigger than you. SAF's tactics though until the red were fucking perfect. Again it sucks, but to hear Jose say the better team lost, helps. They better fucking win it now.

P.S. I will rant that Modric has been such shit all year for Madrid, and he gets a good hit on a ball like that once out of 500 tries. So for him to hit that inch perfect like that really fucking blew. Hr can go fuck off and die now the cuntish girl!!!!!

Roy Keane post match said he understands why it was a red. That's enough for me. As he said, if you give the ref a reason to think about sending you off, you can't complain. He also essentially called Nani a nancy boy which was amazing.

Frankly I saw no reason why the red shouldn't be shown. It could've went either way for me.

Barca's demise was greatly exaggerated. Nice to see Villa back in the side and bag a goal. The Messi goal was a peach

since a thread on it's own gets no respect, I'm just gonna add this here:

Those two strikes to get Seattle level were somethin else.

was sad to see how Schalke was eliminated yesterday they played really well but Galatasaray was too strong.

I was also impressed by Barca and how they played with Milan. Looking forward to seeing Munich advance today :D

wow i never expected Munich to struggle like this today. They were just rock solid all season long but today was probably their worst game this year. Still they advance to the next round and i guess that's all that matters

Was really pulling for United. But what can you do with 10 men vs Real.

Arsenal had a chance yesterday but too little too late.

AC celebrated at home like they won the world cup after the 1st leg. Messi never scored against an Italian club until the 2nd leg. I was pulling for AC but they had too many injuries and their youth and inexperience showed on the pitch. They never got a feel for the speed of the game at all. Last thing I'll say is Fabregas is too old for Camp Nou.
