        Shelvey gets the damn ball!

If that was a penalty on Valenica then there should have been one on Evans when he nicked Suarez. Seriously the same amount of contact. Terrible when refs put themselves at the center of matches like this, let the teams play it out. That was game was ours, but hey what can you do when it is 12 v 11 (10 after the red).

I realize we've got a shit reputation with refs for some reason, but call the game fair and don't pay attention to the names on the shirts, call the fouls as they are.
Red might me harsh, but that is a pretty terrible tackle.

Haven't got a chance to watch highlights of all the other games...but another disappointment from City. Just another game where they get the lead 1-0 but can never break through for that 2nd goal that would put the other team away. And of course a late goal for the draw. ugh.

I mean he's going for the ball. I think it looks worse because he's going down while doing it, had he stayed on his feet and done something similar then it wouldn't even be of note. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone, just trying to win the ball.

I thought it would be a yellow at first, but I agree the best case of action is to give two yellows there. Evans is guilty of making that exact same tackle and breaking Holden's leg with it, so him getting off is inconsistent.

Otherwise, I don't think Liverpool were that much better when it was 11v11, but they were definitely good for a point. Was never a pen.

Can't remember where I read it but on some web site their evidence that it was a penalty was because Johnson didn't immediately freak out. Wut.

He was lying on the ground devastated by the call because when Valencia started slipping he knew he was going to catch the blame.
