A also like/liked Dembele btw, so him going to Spurs was just even more awesome. Plus with Bale, Vertonghen and Friedel

Any American soccer fan is a bandwagoner in some sense. However, you lose that status by supporting your club through success and failure. My years as a Liverpool fan so far have been far from illustrious. If Man City were to go bankrupt and drop down to League 1, you'd see all the bandwagoners leave and go elsewhere.
Hell you could argue most UK fans are too because I doubt their favorite teams are the local club down the road toiling in whatever Division 7 in England is called.Comment

Supporting a championship side would be legendary fun. Almost as much fun as supporting Toronto FC.Comment

I can't speak for others, but I was laughing at both the saltiness and the elitism, especially coming from a guy who once lectured Rudi and I on being "glory seekers" or "bandwagon" fans. (I do believe Woy and Chrispy are Tottenham supporters, btw.) Pretty funny to see 1ke be such an elitist douche, one who gets so salty when his club loses that he belittles smaller clubs, yet also chides those who choose to support a big club.
Must be nice to choose to support the most dominant team in English football though, like you said.
And which club did I belittle by the way? Ill wait. Surely you're not speaking of me talking bout Liverpool? Cuz they might be down right now, but are still one of the top three popular clubs in England. Not exactly small....
Hell I even gave props to Tottenham for giving Caulker some clock. If I'm elitist about Footy, then surely you're an elitist about baseball no? I don't think I'm an elitist, I just know that your have no fucking clue what you speak of most of the time.

Like I said, you are comparing two WAY different scenarios here. I'm not even a big hockey fan, I jumped on the Ovie bandwagon years ago...My point was IF I LIVED IN ENGLAND I would be indulged in the soccer culture and be a fan of my local club. If you think the hockey fan base in America is equal to that of soccer fans in the UK then I give up.Comment
