Has Zuffa ever pioneered or created anything?

Just a thought after the Rousey in the UFC announcement, has zuffa come up with a great idea or there own or just always take or do what someone else has created first?

Women in the forefront - Gary Shaw/EliteXC/Showtime

Lighter weights spotlighted - WEC mostly, Japan had its place also

    TUF - Spike

The Octogon, MMA rules, tourneys - Old SEG/Rorion Gracie

Pro wrestlers being featured - PRIDE, Japan

Stuff like the ref can, fight stats, etc...- Japan, SF

MMA on network TV - EliteXC

These guys never create anything, Warner, take this to the people!

What happens if Vince listens to Heyman's advice and tells Spike they can't air TUF?

Dana goes back to teaching cardio kickboxing to middle aged women or he gets his old job back as a brawling bellhop in Boston

Since Heyman is a big MMA fan, and he knew Vince never listened to a thing he suggested to him anyway, I wonder if he manipulated Vince in typical Heyman fashion by talking so strongly against it. His exact words were said to be "They will end up crushing us on PPV if you let them on TV, and it will be our fans". He had to know Vince would take that as some sort of challenge. Right? I'm joking, but i'm kinda not.
