I'm catching up with some things...going through some DVR'd CMLL and some new shit that was posted recently...

Masato Tanaka (c) v. Tomohiro Ishii
        2/3/13
-Some will overrate this match by the end of the year, some will underrate it. Either way, its a really good match. Ishii really shines. Crowd was begging for a title change.

And, I figure this is right up Warner2BruceTD's alley...

La Sombra / Mascara Dorada / Titan vs Mr. Aguila / Psicosis / Volador Jr.
        CMLL TV 2/2/2013

And, for some strong WWE TV matches...

Alberto Del Rio (c) v. Big Show
        Last Man Standing
        Smackdown 1/11/2013
-Del Rio is an infinitely better face. This match is much better than their Royal Rumble match.

        CM Punk v. Chris Jericho
        RAW 2/4/13
-Jericho's back for 3 weeks and he has one of the best matches to date in the WWE to date and the best Royal Rumble performance.

Is that the same Tanaka that used to fight Mike Awesome for the ECW title? I figured he'd be retired by now as he seemed old even back then

            Yep.

Thought for sure all those Mike Awesome powerbombs and chair shots to the head would've taken their toll by now.

I'm listing more stuff in this thread as a better reminder for year's end.

I'll probably post plenty of doubles.

                  /Fuck you.

I'm still catching up with some stuff from January...I'll hit up New Beginning on the free tip.

                    New Beginning

Suzuki vs Okada - Brilliantly constructed match. The right finish no matter what anybody says. ****

                    Tanahashi vs Anderson - ****1/4

It is time to seriously discuss Tanahashi as possibly the greatest main event/big show wrestler of all time.

Is KENTA really in that discussion? I love his work, but just seems something of a reach.

KENTA never has bad matches, but he has never been consistently in a big match setting.

That changes now that he's the man in NOAH. Lets see if he delivers for two years straight like Tanahashi has. Plus Tanahashi had runs previous to this.

Think about that TWO YEARS of big show main events that always kill. It really is amazing and legendary.

                              Minoru Suzuki v. Kazuchika Okada
                              New Beginning 2013
-When Suzuki counters the Rainmaker with a straight slap to the grill...super mark out. Love it when old vets beat the young up and comers...when Okada tries to slap back and misses, it just makes it work.

Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) v. Karl Anderson
                              New Beginning 2013
-Tanahashi is in Ric Flair God Mode right now.

I like when Okada gives him the clean break in that "hey man, we're both heels, respect" kind of way, and Suzuki promptly kick him in the gut.
