    The winter window

The winter window will open up in two weeks, al kinds of fun shit flying around already. This one tho is from the mouths of those who matter. Not a big one, but interesting none the less.

Interviewed in the Liverpool matchday programme ahead of Saturday's visit of Aston Villa, the 28-year-old former Middlesbrough winger said: "The manager has said I can leave if I want to.

"But then, all of a sudden, I've come back into the team - it's a strange situation.

"I've played for a long time and there are spells when you can be in or out of the side.

"At the minute, I'm trying to play as many games as possible. If that doesn't happen I'm at an age where I can't be sat around.

"I need to play and the manager understands that. That's how the situation is and we'll have to see what happens in January or the summer."

Won't be surprised if Ba leaves in the window. Maybe that will free up Papiss to score more, no idea what's wrong with him

NUFC needs to get Debuchy and a couple others in to the side. Anita looks to be coming good. Ideally, I'd like one new player up the spine (CB, central mid and a new striker if Demba leaves)

Hearing Sturridge to Liverpool is a done deal.

Not a fan. If it goes through it'll obviously be more than he's worth and its not exactly like he's scored goals left and right. Us getting Ince back is also supposedly a done deal, which is a strange one.

Apparently we were in for Ince over the summer but his dad told him to stay. Kind of annoying that Liverpool gave up on him, then get him back, should be a good signing though.

We are apparently close to completing a deal for Loic Remy, but like CB said we'll need another centerback and a fullback, at least. I only see us signing one of those, plus Remy, and who knows what happens to Ba.

Think we'll be quiet this January.

Tell you what you spoiled "English" wankers it must be fun actually supporting teams who can afford to buy players in the middle of the season; I haven't had any reason to watch the deadline movements for years. El Hadji Diouf doesn't count.

I think it's a good signing for you guys (I do quite like that we're getting 12m for him, though). He had a pretty damn good scoring record last year playing out wide, and has been injured the majority of this season (that could be a worry though). Plus it seems to me Liverpool could use someone that's a bit more selfish up front.

He wouldn't be my first choice, I'd rather Llorente, Huntelaar or Remy (especially if he can be had for 10) but I'd be happy with him, Ince too, I'm just glad it looks like we will be able to get them in the first few days of Jan and won't have to wait all month. A backup for Lucas is a must too.

I think most clubs are afraid of Remy because of his possible heart defect.

Remy's been out of form for a bit now, hasn't really come back since injury because Marseille haven't needed him.

Rumours are agent fees are holding up Sturridge deal. Gameiro is being bandied about as the alternative on a loan (Everton want him too).

IMO Gameiro is miles better than Sturridge. If they can get him and even have PSG pay some wages, I would chomp their hand off

Both Hunter and Llorente are on frees at the end of the season. I can't imagine FSG paying out sums for them now. Or the players signing on and foregoing the fat bonus you can get when signing on a free

Huntelaar is actually set to sign an extension in the next few days.
