People should really go back and watch Kenny Omega beat everybody in All Japan, and be super cocky while doing it. Hiroshi Yamato, Shuji Kondo, Kaz Hayashi, KAI, all of them.

Maybe the best title run of the year. Cocky, slightly effeminate outsider beats everybody and talks shit while doing it. Fans want him dead. All of the matches awesome.

For real...if Okada didn't exist, Omega would have been my Most Improved in 2012. He was so good.

Also, I don't recall if you spoke about him in the podcast with Micah Taylor, but Omega was down in Deep South around the same time he was...was used like shit.

The old "territory" model of becoming a better professional wrestler still works. Omega is a testament to that. Its just done a little differently in the 2010's.

We didn't talk about Omega. It was in my notes and I just never got to it. Fed's computer crashed and we had to scramble to get Taylor back on and finish up. You'd never know by listening, but Fed did an incredible edit job, he even removed an entire section of the conversation that had inaccurate information.

Anyway, as I remember it, Omega basically had enough of DeMott's shit one day, told him to fuck off, and walked out. I'm almost certain he's office for DDT now, plus he gets tons of bookings, so he's doing just fine for himself.

I had a number of guys I wanted to ask him about but we spent a lot of time on DeMott and because he didn't have the most concise answers we ended up spending a lot of time just to get to the Deep South portion.
