If this is true, then nobody's safe.

Dude was/is bulletproof and he had to switch from a 50 Cent stunt double get-up to a leather jacket and Red Rooster tights.

"I always pictured myself being an indy guy and eventually down the road I would get to WWE. What ended up happening is I was signed when I was 20 so I never really got the chance to be an indy wrestler," he said.

"I started wrestling when I was 15 but you don't get booked a lot when you are 16 or 17. I didn't have a lot of connections so I didn't do too many indies. For me I am a wrestler no matter what, if I am in WWE or somewhere else it is cool. I didn't see getting fired as my life being over, this is an opportunity to keep wrestling and doing my thing. I am not really down about it at all."

As for what's next for him, Barreta says, "It is a new chapter and I think it is going to be great. Now is my chance to get out and show people what I can do and there is nothing holding me back. There are no old men in suits to yell at me and tell me what I did wrong after my match. I am looking forward to just having fun."
Certainly doesn't sound like a guy who was making buckets of money and now won't be. Nothing worse than being a bottom feeder in the WWE, making nothing but your downside, paying road expenses, and on top of that having no creative freedom and not being able to grow as a worker/character.

Good for him, I think he will be a big time indie player.

Being that developmental guy / bottom feeder in the WWE has to be fucking awful.

especially when you are literally never on a PPV, never on the house show tour, have no merch, not in the video game, and not on a single DVD.

Seriously, it's like that man didn't exist. If you didn't watch international Superstars on YouTube, he didn't.

The only time I ever saw Trent Barretta was on an episode of MTV's Silent Library featuring WWE Superstars, Caylen Croft, Chris Masters, Dolph Ziggler, Curt Hawkins, Trent Barretta, and JTG.

I remember seeing him feud with Drew on Smackdown, Also saw him live at a Smackdown taping when he was a Dudebuster. Didn't seem like anything special.

Check out some of his singles stuff from Superstars. I think you'll enjoy it.

I liked his in-ring work but his character seemed generic I don't recall him ever getting a real chance to prove himself on Smackdown they just had him look like a nerd.

Congrats to Warner2BruceTD for the VERY CLOSE WIN over yours truly.

The rest of you suck a bag of dicks at this game.
