UFC Returning to San Jose with FOX 7 Card, How High Can They Go?

Junkie says UFC on Fox 7 will be April 20 (no confirmation Nick Diaz will make it on the show) at the Pavilion.

We know Zuffa murdered the market with their handling of Strikeforce since 2011, but can they top UFC 139 with over 13k if they feature the right guys on top?

    Last 10 Pavilion shows:

    1. UFC on Fuel: Munoz vs. Weidman, 7/11/12 - 4,250
    2. Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier, 5/19/12 - 5,413
    3. UFC 139: Shogun vs. Hendo, 11/19/11 - 13,832
    4. Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg, 1/29/11 - 9,059
    5. Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons, 10/9/10 - 7,559
    6. Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum, 6/26/10 - 11,757
    7. Strikeforce: Evolution, 12/19/09 - 14,749
    8. Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg, 8/15/09 - 13,976
    9. Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz, 4/11/09 - 15,211
    10. Strikeforce: Southworth vs. Babalu (HDNET), 11/21/08 - 8,152

It may be too late. Meltzer, who lives there and hob knobs with the whole crew form that area, always says that a lot of the old Strikeforce fans have moved on, sort of like a smaller scale version of southern WCW fans moving on from wrestling after it died. A lot of the same people who went to those old Cung Le/kickboxing shows were the same people who later went to the Frank Shamrock/Cung Le/Gina MMA shows.

I think if you load it up with genuine stars (hint: not Munoz or Weidman), or if you go the old school route and put Diaz on the card, maybe Shields too, Cormier, people like that, they will do fine.
