I am totally ok with players starting fights after big clean hits but the referees simply must grow a pair and call instigator every time it happens. If players feel the need to respond to a clean hit then fine, but there has to be a cost.Comment

Pretty solid so far, playing on the top pair with Timonen and leading the league in hits entering tonight. Flyers offense has been horrible all season, they've only scored more than 2 goals two or three games so far. Giroux has really been struggling, he's pressing too hard and turning over the puck a lot.

He suffered a knee injury during the second period and couldn't finish the game out. Carlyle said after the game it doesn't look serious and he'll be revaluated on tuesday.
Hope he's not gone for a while. He's been rock solid this year and has kept the leafs in the game plenty of times.

Yeah I gave up after the 2nd period so I didn't see that part. Good to see JVR being consistent, that was his big problem in Philly. He almost never used his size and would disappear for games at a time and be barely noticeable, but then he'd play like he did in the play-offs a few years ago and completely dominate.Comment
