You retard. What don't you get? FFP is going to eat your team up. Even if its not real, its already scared them into trying to save money and buy shit players. Do you not understand what's at stake? Your team is built to win. They made rich players super rich to go to a location nobody wants to be to win. What happens if your of two years wins nothing? No title money, no cup money, manager fired, players out and the ones coming back in won't be as good. Do you realize how this works Rudi?Comment

Its not about just this year. Its the whole thing, players leaving managers coming and going, and its still Manchester. Consistency.
Oh and not to mention the salary cap they are about to introduce in England.
All im sayin, if they fail to win anything this season it could be a downward slope with FFP coming soon. We've already seen the garbage they've had to sign because they already spent too much. Once Real come calling for Aguero, Tevez retires because he misses he misses his cat, Toure gets bored they'll look at lesser players out of necessity.Comment

Were I a City supporter, I'd be pretty frustrated right now. Not because expecting back-to-back titles is particular reasonable but rather because winning the title this season a very realistic goal, regardless of what happened last year. This year's Man United isn't nearly as strong as some of their recent sides, yet they are well ahead on the table because they play at or above their potential as a side. City has not. All of the other top sides have been very inconsistent as well. Theoretically, getting dumped out of the Champions League early should give a side a better chance in the league... but performances like what they had yesterday should be completely unacceptable.
United up 1-0 on Everton.Comment

I would also be frustrated as they are clearly underperforming and if the teams below them were more consistent then they might not be second...but they are. I just don't think City is going to be crashing out of the top four anytime soon because they didn't win the league this year.Comment

No, it won't mean they drop out of top four status. The moment that the Sheik stops pouring money into the club, they do. They cannot afford to function for even a few weeks without that.
I'm watching through the match this morning. A few of the reports I read focused on the mistakes that resulted in two of the Southampton goals. Understandable but that's also rather disingenous. Southampton have been the better side throughout. They created some quality chances but didn't finish well through the match. Both the Hart mistake and the Barry own goal came off of nice builds. It was the City goal that came out of nowhere, on a quick counter attack. And Southampton probably should have been given a penalty just before the half - wasn't a tackle but it was definitely a barge. Looking at the stats, City had a bit of a posession advantage but they did little with it and I only recall the one good stop from Boruc midway through the second half. A pretty woeful match from City, even without those two mistakes.
Was pretty happy with Arsenal's win. Not that 1-0 is exactly fantastic, but that's the kind of match they so often throw away. Dominant first half but only one goal off of so many opportunities, then face some adversity in the second due to the Jenkinson red...Comment
