How was it perceived acceptable to have MMA & Pro Wresting as one joint forum? They are not related at all. One is merely entertainment and the other is a very real full contact sport.
Logic?

Curiously you take no issue with boxing being included, which is the most unlike the other two.Comment

Boxing is much more like MMA than pro wrestling. Boxing and MMA are both hand to hand combat until knock out, decision, or submission (quitting in boxing). For people here to compare MMA and Pro wrestling as equals or similar is naïve, ignorant, and just plain pathetic.Comment

LOL at this. I think we all understand combat sports. However, there is a reason that Vince McMahon views UFC as his biggest PPV rival and that's because there is a massive overlap in audiences. UFC and WWE use weekly television shows to drive interest in getting people to purchase fighting events.
Regardless, WTF does it matter which forum it is? If you don't want to read a wrestling thread, DON'T CLICK ON ITComment

Because without the pro wrestling threads, the MMA forum would go weeks without being viewed/updatedComment

Do you know much about MMA history? Because you cant give a MMA history lesson without talking about pro wrestling. They are tied at the hip. The early days of MMA were loaded with worked fights (i.e. pro wrestling). Tiger Mask was the founder of Pancrase. Antonio Inoki is one of the most important figures in the history of MMA. The number of UFC fighters who have done pro wrestling probably totals in triple figures or close to it. In Japan the crossover is even more prevalent. One is worked, one isnt. Otherwise they are identical in just about every way. MMA fighters do fake pro wrestling promos to draw money. Dana white does fake pro wrestling promos to draw money. UFC perpetuates fake worked feuds to draw money. I realize this thread is essentially a troll, but if you cant see the obvious similarities, youre either an insecure Sherdog geek or not looking very hard.Comment

How is this at all an argument to why the current MMA and wrestling have been combined into one forum? If you were to split these 2 you would still have 2 forums that have more activity, posts, and threads than the NHL forum. That is all Im saying. No one wants or needs a history lesson on the birth of MMA.Comment
