NUFC finally safe. For the rest of the spots it's kind of no win for me. Lots of teams I like in tough spots. I want Arsenal to make the CL because I love Wenger. However, if they do that, it probably means Wigan go down.

If Wigan beat Arsenal, and then beat Villa, they stay up. If they do both and Spurs beat Sunderland, Sunderland gets relegated () but that would mean Spurs get the final CL spot.

    WHO DO I CHEER FOR???!?!???

At the end of the day, I think the most likely scenario is Arsenal in 4th after wins over both Wigan and NUFC, Spurs in fifth even with a win at Sunderland and Wigan going down.

    NUFC finish in 15th

I was pulling for Aston Villa to stay up and now they are after reaching the magic number of 41. I would like to see Wigan stay up as well. Too bad they blew it against Swansea. They would be the first club ever to win the FA Cup and get regulated in the same season.

He is godawful. I cannot stress that enough, godfuckingawful.

Sounds like he's on his way out after the Arsenal game. Rafa and Rene Girard seem the only two options.

Villa still aren't safe. If Wigan beat Arsenal (unlikely) it will be all to play for on the final day. Sunderland have the best GD of that group, so they'd need at least a draw to be safe (unless Villa beat Wigan by 10 or so). If they get a draw, Villa would need a win or draw of their own. If Wigan win both games, it's between Sunderland and Villa to go down

Niall Quinn is an awful color man. I wish Sky would get rid of him.

Nice win by Arsenal. Just need on more and 4th is locked.

And I am depressed by how happy the thought of finishing 4th makes me.

I would love to get Falcao this summer, even though they'll probably go the cheaper route with Jovetić. We need a top goal scorer to compete next year.

Jesus, £51M plus £8.5M a year after tax. Not bad.

Other Ligue 1 clubs will have to step up their efforts to get Monaco to move to France so they are subject to tax

The Premier League is crossing its fingers that it is not presented with a major headache if Arsenal and Chelsea finish the season level on points, goal difference and goals scored.
That scenario could happen if Arsenal win 2-1 at Newcastle and Chelsea draw 0-0 at home to Everton this Sunday. That would make the clubs joint third and Arsenal and Chelsea would have to face a play-off for the automatic Champions League qualification spot.
The problem for the Premier League would be when to play such a match – Chelsea have an end-of-season tour to the USA to play friendlies against Manchester City next week, and then there are England friendlies on 29 May against the Republic of Ireland and then in Brazil on 2 June.
Neither club would want the season to stretch into June but the play-off regulation is part of Premier League rules.
They state: "If at the end of the season … the question of qualification for other competitions cannot be determined because two or more clubs are equal on points, goal difference and goals scored, the clubs concerned shall play off one or more deciding league matches on neutral grounds, the format, timing and venue of which shall be determined by the board."
This is exactly what I want to happen now

So dumb. We beat them twice.

Won't have to worry about it I hope.
