I like this deal for Columbus. Rangers have some depth now too.

I'm a little surprised; frankly I thought the Gaborik trade talk was more a case of speculation, whispers and something that was considered but would never materialize. But we got some toughness and some skill down the middle for a player who I sense has seen his best days as a Ranger.

Gabby worked well with Prospal, and what I mean by that is Gabby fucking dominated with the only half decent set-up man he ever played with, so maybe they can reunite that pairing again. At the same time, I highly doubt they will make the playoffs this year so I'm sure they intend to give him a long-term deal. Risky.

Let me be clear also, the Rangers are a better team now than they were two days ago.
