Detroit got a great matchup in round 1 and it carried the inferior team to victory. Now they go against Chicago who they played tight against all year, 1 goal games and overtimes. If Detroit can take game 1 while Chicago is rusty then they have a chance of making this 7 games and winning it; if not, Chicago will find a way to advance.

The one caveat with the Hawks for me has always been their goaltending, but let's be honest here ... so far, the Wings are simply outplaying the Hawks. They have been more responsible in all three zones, and while they have been getting better goaltending, no one can blame Corey Crawford for the 2-1 lead in this series.

I dont blame Corey. But this team is killing Chicago right now. Backs against the wall now. Cant afford to go down 3-1. Detroit is just thr bane of my fucking existence.

Don't know what to do about Shaw. Officials are just waiting for him to do something stupid, and he eventually obliges. I think on the phantom disallowed goal, if anyone other than Shaw had been near the goalie, the goal would have counted. But when the ref saw it was Shaw, he immediately disallowed it.

Howard has played well for Detroit. Crawford was very good in Game 1, but just average in 2 & 3. Aside from the penalty at the end, I think Bickell is trying to answer Detroit's physical play. Toews is obviously spooked by Zetterberg and has been very ineffective. Hossa is possibly the only player who looks to dominate when he gets the puck. He and Stalberg are the only two IMO who look like they have initiative when they get the puck. Everyone else is waiting for a teammate to do something.

Were Datsyuk and Zetterberg nicked up during the regular season? They've looked really good in the postseason.
