Today, the senate in Connecticut voted to pass the legalization bill before them. Last month, the house did it first. Now, it will head to the Governor where he's expected to sign it into law.
In Canada, the house of commons passed a bill that eliminates the criminal code that existed with the sport. Soon, sanctioned pro MMA events will be able to take place across all provinces.
Meanwhile, NY is now the 1 state in the U.S. where pro MMA is illegal. Next wek, the Speaker in the state assembly will see if there's enough support to bring the legalization bill to a vote.
Which is bullshit.....because there obviously is more than enough support. 64 sponsors have publicly put their support with the bill and only 12 more (minimum) need to join them in a formal vote to pass it (12 out of 86, mind you).
