U.S. Cittą di Palermo announces that it has commissioned to Gennaro Ivan Gattuso technical guidance of the First Team rosanero. The coach of Corigliano Calabro, who signed a one year contract with an option for a two-year renewal, will be presented next Friday at 12:30 in the press room of the Stadium "Renzo Barbera."

If this goes anything like his playing career, then this means he'll manage for 10+ years, with no tactics or skill, an average result record at best, yet somehow also get a shot at the Italian National team manager position due to their coach getting sacked/quitting and no one to really fill the role.
Always liked Milan, but Gennaro Gattuso ranks up their with Mascherano, De Jong, and Van Bommel as the most skill less hacks in CDM that continue(d) to find employment. -
