    Notes:

    -Hiroshi Tanahashi, mid carder
    -Goto/Shibata III
-Finally some new blood in the junior tag title match
-Ten matches. Only two are shit. Something has to give or this will be a 5 hour show. What won't get time?
-Alex Shelley, Shelton Benjamin, Lance Archer, Davey Boy Smith Jr not booked. Looks like the CMLL guys may have gotten the spots. All four are being pushed to some degree, I wouldn't read into it.
-Is Wataru Inoue dead or something? Not like I miss him.
-Show will be in Akita. After this, G1 is the next tour.

      Here is the 7/5 PPV:

      NJPW "KIZUNA ROAD 2013", 05.07.2013 (Samurai! TV/USTREAM)
      Tokyo Korakuen Hall

      1. Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima & Super Strong Machine vs. Toaru Yano, Takashi Iizuka & Jado
      2. Togi Makabe, Manabu Nakanishi, Tiger Mask & KUSHIDA vs. Yuji Nagata, Hirooki Goto, Captain New Japan & Takaaki Watanabe
      3. Tomohiro Ishii, Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov vs. Minoru Suzuki, TAKA Michinoku & Taichi
      4. Tetsuya Naito, Tomoaki Honma & La Sombra vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Masato Tanaka & Yujiro Takahashi
      - Bekanntgabe der Teilnehmer am G1 CLIMAX 23
      5. Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI vs. Karl Anderson & Bad Luke Fale
      6. CMLL World Tag Team Title: Tama Tonga & El Terrible (c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Jushin Thunder Liger
      7. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title: Prince Devitt (c) vs. Gedo

Very odd, because this is just a standard Kurokan house show with a bunch of random tags (aside from the Devitt vs Gedo main event).

The first Dragon Gate live iPPV is the day before on 7/4.

        More notes:

-The 7/5 show goes head to head with a WWE house show at Sumo Hall
-I'm guessing the hook to that 7/5 show, which on paper does not look worth $25 as it's just a random house show lineup, is that they are announcing the G1 field during the broadcast.

I like how they aren't even suspending disbelief with the Devitt/Gedo match and advertising Okada vs Devitt for the 20th as if it's a forgone conclusion.

              7/5 is a real test.

Will people be willing to pay money to see a bunch of random tags, Devitt pin Gedo, and the reveal of the G1 brackets?

Like somebody said on another board, the G1 reveal is really the main event.

That show has "wait for DailyMotion" written all over it unless it's like $10 or something. They'd have balls asking $25.

La Sombra survived his IWGP IC title defense against Volador Jr tonight, winning by DQ (yeah, I know).

So it's officially La Sombra defending the title against Nakamura on 7/20.

CMLL tag title match was good, and the main event was a fuckin blast. Seek it out and don't read spoilers if possible. You'll all love it.

                  The rest, as expected, skippable.

                  Review coming sometime Friday.

Got my hands on the show, only watched the main event so far.

I figured the title wasn't changing but I swear, during Devitt's big false finish towards the end, they had me thinking it was over (Okada, similar to Kurt Angle, kept his shoulder to the mat until the very last second he could kick out).

Don't remember the last finisher where I'm on the edge of my seat when the guy struggles to land it before ultimately hitting it like Okada's Rainmaker.

The August G1 collective will be nuts.

Did you see Okada/Makabe last month?

Makabe hit a dragon suplex that produced a 2.9 so close, that Fed thinks it was a botch. I just think think Okada is Mr. 2.9.
