Guess they think they need the money to bring in someone like Benteke? Dempsey hit some great goals last year, but I'm not sure if he's a guy you'd want to play every week as a Top 4 side. He's great squad depth if you have the luxury, but it seems Spurs are going all on for the First XI

Frankly, if true, I'd love to see him end up at Newcastle

Main problem with Dempsey last year was he had no preseason, had to learn a whole new system, team, staff. I would like Spurs to give him one more year and see how he does. They just have so many players that can play midfield.
