Back in 1976 when men were men and pint of best cost less than five minute slaving away at loom down t'mill we had proper sports to keep us occupied.
None of this baseball stuff...tha's just rounders in pyjamas. None of that American Football, t'is just Rugby League for poofs who are scared of getting t'head kicked in and have to wear motorbike 'elmit. And none of that basketsball either, that's the game that lasses play with their long socks and them young, burgeoning breasts all bouncing up and down in t'tight tops.
No, REAL sports. Bar billiards, skittles, shove ha'penny, darts (wi'Yorkshire board, obviously) and all presented by cricket legend and all round Yorkshireman Sir Freddy Trueman.
I'm expecting a 40 page thread for this one...
