The actual reason was to change the material for performance reasons. Apparently the players hated the teal's and preferred the black, which is why they use black in the playoffs (and subsequently had a better record wearing black to teal)
The older jersey's had more material on them
I have one of those, it's pretty heavy/bulky when I compare it to the Leafs jersey my old man has.Comment

They look like practice jerseys but whatever. I have one black Sharks jersey that I bought years ago. These guys change jerseys every other year so there is no point in buying them. If I was to ever get another one, it would be a teal original.
