on laundry day of course...but not outside, though.

Bullet Club is what TNA should have done with Aces + 8's. Its not like they didn't have four members of the team on the roster at some point (three working for the company within the past calendar year) and could have acquired a third (Fale) on the cheap.

        Ricochet is back!

Overall this was a decent show, but not a great show by Dragon Gate standards. Recent Infinity's blow this away. Check it out for the Ricochet return and angle with Yoshino/Uhaa. Skip the rest unless you're a hardcore.

        7. MAD BLANKEY vs. JIMMYZ Oedo Elimination Match: YAMATO, BxB Hulk, Naruki Doi, Cyber Kong (4-3) Jimmy Susumu, Ryo "Jimmy" Saito, Jimmy Kanda, Mr. Quu Quu Tanizaki Naoki Toyonaka Dolphin
        -Kong (19:18 Cyber Bomb) Saito
-Kanda (20:38 Diving Elbow Drop) Kong
        -Kanda (Inside Cradle) Doi
        -Hulk (25:25 First Flash) Kanda
        -Hulk (28:22 FTX) Tanizaki
        -Susumu (31:52 Mugen) Hulk
        -YAMATO (36:00 Gallaria) Susumu

This show is available for streaming on USTREAM for $15.

Fujii came out after match four. He was impressed with Shimizu, but felt that he could do better than teaming with Kotoka. Shimizu was torn, but eventually agreed to ditch Kotoka and join up with Fujii. Fujii was pleased, and said it was time to go eat a lot of delicious food and drink a lot of delicious sake. Kotoka asked what he was supposed to do, but Fujii told him he was an idiot and should figure it out himself. Kotoka continued to talk but was interrupted by the next match starting.

Yoshino wasn't pleased that Ricochet returned without telling anyone. Ricochet simply replied that he just loved Dragon Gate so much he had to come back. After the match, he challenged Yoshino to a Dream Gate title match. Yoshino accepted. Nation suddenly got in Ricochets' face. He said they were MONSTER EXPRESS, so he shouldn't be doing this. CIMA & Yoshino mediated, and it lead to a singles match between Nation & Ricochet for the March Korakuen.

Doi called the war with the Jimmyz over, saying it was the shortest war in Dragon Gate history. Kanda said although they lost the match, he pinned Doi directly. Therefore, the feud was still on. Hulk was irritated after being dropped on his head. He said Kanda says the same thing even though his team loses repeatedly. He was also pissed at Doi for letting this go on so long. He to hurry up and end this feud so he didn't have to deal with these shitty opponents anymore. Tanizaki took exception to his choice of words. This lead to Hulk & Doi vs. Kanda & Tanizaki being set for the March Korakuen. The tension boiled over between Doi & Hulk, leading to a brief shoving match between the two.

YAMATO called out CIMA. He made fun of his injury, then changed subjects to the Millenials. He disagreed with CIMAs' statement that the Millenials are essential to the future of DG. Therefore, he was making it his job to destroy them. With Eita out & the Mexican members gone, it should be easy. T-Hawk came out. They argued and chopped each other for awhile until they agreed to a singles match next month. CIMA said that since both were known for their unique submission stylings, he was going to take rope escapes out of the equation. The match will be fought with no ropes. T-Hawk was left to close the show. He announced Flamita would be returning next week, and Eita was recovering at a good pace. Next month, he would destroy YAMATO and the Millenials would rise again.

Translated presser from last night's NJPW New Beginning. Some of this is gold.

              Also, this:

              - You’ve defeated Nakamura in such short time span. Where are you heading with your white belt?

Tanahashi “Nakamura talked about creating new values. Super no vacancy in both Hiroshima and Osaka. There are two brands to aim for this in company. Brand Extension. That’s what NJPW is going for this year.”

I seemed to remember him getting some comments on here when they had him in All Japan 2 or 3 years. In a sense, its too bad that Japanese wrestlers are loyal, as he's never going to face other great workers in Big Japan. But a run in New Japan... could be awesome...

No one does entrances in wrestling quite like New Japan right now.

I really, really love everything about New Japan right now. ROH really saved me in 2005 or so, and now New Japan is doing the same thing these days. I'm just past a point where I can really sink my teeth into WWE, I will always follow WWE closely but I need something else that aims for my demo that brings the passion out of me when I watch. New Japan is showing no signs of this run slowing down. They keep growing and getting better.

New Beginning Hiroshima - Super No Vacancy 5,040
New Beginning Osaka - Super No Vacancy 6,400

Both sold out well in advance. Things are healthy. Wish we had access to iPPV numbers, curious which show drew more. Tanahashi had an advantage being on a Sunday as opposed to Tuesday.

3/6 Anniversary show has these three on top, with a bunch of tag filler underneath:

-Kazuchika Okada vs Kota Ibushi (non title, Ibushi earns title shot if he wins...as if)
-Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows vs Katsuyori Shibata & Hirooki Goto (also hearing non title, not sure why but not confirmed)
-Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tetsuya Naito vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii

New Japan Cup first round 3/15 Korakuen has:

                            Nakamura/Davey Boy Smith Jr
                            Naito/Ishii
                            Makabe/Fale
                            Archer/Devitt
                            Goto/Gallows
                            Shibata/Anderson
                            Yano/Suzuki
                            Yujiro/SHELTON X BENJAMIN

Some awesome matchups in that tournament, althought I only expect the top two to get time as they are listed as the main & semi.
