The Kongo fight peaked at over 900k. The 683k was the second highest number of the season, so they clearly got some return viewers from the Alvarez/Chandler card.

If this Friday's Rampage show tops the 683, that's another win. I say over 800 is a big win. Over a million is a huge win.

The point here is not that Bellator is drawing on equal footing because the biggest possible Bellator cards are barely beating mid (Hendo/Belfort) & low level (Fight for the Troops) UFC shows. The point here is UFC is seemingly ok with over saturation and a "quantity over quality" business strategy, and people are skipping more & more shows. They are playing the rights fees game, which may be an unsustainable bubble, but it's the bubble everybody from MLB to NFL to WWE is riding right now, so they aren't alone.

Anyway, the point is Bellator is drawing eyeballs and showing growth. MMA badly needs a viable #2 like the PRIDE days, like the Strikeforce days. It's best for fans and the sport. Even better if WSOF holds on as a viable #3.

        That is actually pretty impressive.

I'd like to think that the GenPop is buying in on Bellator's more unique concept then just mindlessly watching MMA. Either way, good for them...impressed. They gave you fights you wanted to see and the end result was a net (big) positive for the promotion. Even better, they set up future fights with the results.
