Edison New Jersey, "Race to the Top" Finals.

Generico had been through two wars already on this night, including taking a hard beating from Davey Richards in the semi's, so that's a major part of the story. Keep in mind too that Generico was never really a pushed guy to this point. He was firmly positioned as a strong underdog going through a Cinderalla run.

This was the tournament, and really the match, that made Generico a star in ROH. If it sounds familiar, well, that's kind of the point of this thread.
