Of course they were placating the crowd because Punk didn't return...and they did a good job of it.

Don't see any disgusting promotional move here, not even close.
Promoting a talent to be on a show and that person not showing up is a time honored disgusting promotional tactic and I have no doubt the E was complicit in it...thus, its disgusting.

Gonna agree with that one. I have a feeling that they did leak it to a handful of people they suspect were leaking the PPV results and long-term booking. There are other ways to leak news than to advertise someone and then no-show them.

Or, they could book the product better so the crowds wouldn't be hijacking it. There's that option too.

They are giving the people what the people want but are too stupid to know they want. Randy Orton versus Batista will be the greatest WrestleMania main event in the history of both WrestleMania and main events. Its not the main event we want. Its the main event we need.

Crowds making themselves part of the show is just part of the times, like anything else it will pass, but right now this is just something they'll have to deal with. An to be honest it makes the shows hotter and to me the company is dealing with it just fine by tackling it head on. The heels are egging it on and the faces are playing into it. I don't see the issue.

I feel like something big is starting to happen. I see the Network reinvigorating fan interest, indie attendance is starting to climb (ROH & CZW in particular) which is always an underlying metric of overall fan interest imo, the WWE stock is at an all time high so Wall St seems to think the new TV deal will be huge (which is a virtual lock at this point), New Japan caught fire, and two new national promotions are starting up this year.

The Network & emphasis on TV rights driving the cart instead of PPV means we will get hot TV every week with all of the big matches & angles happening for free as opposed to on PPV, which will be used to set up the TV (crazy but we have to get used to it). SO 4 million people will be seeing a hot product every week.

I'm not going to use the 'B' word, but bump this in two years if it happens.
