Hendricks missed weight on his 1st shot, has an hour to drop 1.5 pounds.

        So, latest is:

Hendricks is in the process of trying to cut the weight. Don't know if he'll cut his beard.

Apparently, if he cannot make the 170 limit, the fight would still be 5 rounds. If Lawler were to beat him, he'd be champion but a Hendricks win still means the belt is vacant.

Nick Diaz is there (see UFC tweeted pic below) and said he could make weight by this evening...but obviously, that's not an option. Right.

Btw, 2 other undercard guys missed weight. Gotta love the Texas commission.

Dayum, this 170 division is all kinds of fucked. Almost half of the top 10 guys have lost over the past couple months.

Hendricks takes down Lawler, but who the hell is gonna get the first shot? Rory MacDonald, I presume.

Sucks for Condit he got hurt, Shields looked turrible but Jury took a big step up.

Woodley might get the shot by virtue of his "win" over Condit. I doubt Rory gets the first shot as his last couple wins havent exactly been impressive. Sucks to see Condit go down that way, I think, had his knee not given out on him, he had a good chance of taking out Woodley but it is what it is. Lawler looked really good in rounds 3 & 4 but ran out of gas at the end...great fight up until the last 90 seconds or so. I actually think this fight improves Lawler's standing as he was right there with Hendricks the whole fight. The way things stand right now, I'd say Woodley gets the next shot with Rory fighting either Condit or Lawler, most likely Condit, for the next shot. Lombard squares off against whoever Rory doesnt fight (likely Lawler) to set up for the next title fight. If it is Lawler, and Lawler beats Lombard, he might need one more win to get another title fight, but his showing tonight might get him another chance with one top tier win. Ellenberger likely factors in there somewhere, but I feel like he's probably two wins away from a shot. Maybe he gets the loser of the Rory/Condit vs Hendricks/Woodley fight.

                        Diego Sanchez tweeted this:
