Bayern win the league in record time

Really thought it was gonna get ugly after the 2 early goals but Hertha managed to provide some resistance. Ribery's goal

We should just change this to a Bundesliga general discussion thread, instead of matchdays and such.

Speaking of...... Anyone know exactly what the hell is goings on with Stuttgart, Hamburg, and Werder Bremen all are doing in the drop zone. Stuttgart and Hamburg are virtually locks to go down. Seems strange. Stuttgart played in the CL this season didn't they?

If a general discussion thread would be preferred, sure.

I don't think Stuttgart was ever really that good, certainly not CL quality, and Hamburg's problem is their main decision makers aren't really "football guys" I think Bremen will pull it together eventually, they certainly have some quality players. Maybe I'm just saying that because I'm an Obraniak fanboy.

Stuttgart is only 7 years removed from a title, back when Gomez was leading the line. They've long been a pillar of the Bundesliga and it's crazy that they could be relegated. Hamburg's been shit since they brought in Frank Arnesen from Chelsea and he thought Chelsea rejects like Michael Mancienne were the key to victory. The frequent coaching changes and complete lack of consistency ruin what should be a great club. I think Werder is close to turning it around. They had a good run after the title season and then kind of lost their way. They seem to understand what went wrong now (finally) and while this season has been a challenge, I would expect top half for them in the next while.

Also have to keep in mind that only bottom two are auto-relegated in the Bundesliga. Considering Nurnberg are only two points clear of those two, I could see them getting dragged back down. No offense to Paderborn (current 3rd in 2.Bundesliga), but I'd pick HSV or Stuttgart (or Nurnberg) over them.

Hamburg are the only club to have played in the Bundesliga since its formation. Gonna be sad if they go down. I used to love the club, mainly due to playing as them on FM back when they had Kompany, de Jong, and van der Vaart (first time around). Ironically, I now tend to use Stuttgart. Neither team has a great deal of influential quality players.
