    Anthony's top 10 World Footballers

Here are my top 10 favorite players in world football right now. I'm not selecting any Liverpool players and I'm purposely excluding Messi and Ronaldo. So without further ado... and in no certain order...

Phillip Lahm- Best fullback in world football if you ask me. He can do it all, defend, attack, finish, make a pass... what more could you want? Fantastic engine, can run for days and fully committed to the team. Outside of Liverpool players and another one on this list, probably my favorite player in the world right now. As of late he's even been playing the deep lying midfield role.

Manuel Neuer- Since his Schalke days he's been one of my favorite players. Why? Because he reminds me of another legend, Oliver Kahn. You won't find many keepers more confident than Neuer, who by the way, even takes penalties. He's big, he's aggressive, he's confident. Just my kind of keeper.

Francesco Totti- Legend. Nothing more really needs to be said does it? False nine? That's Totti, he's the reason that role exists. A one club man, which I can fully respect. Hands down my favorite player in the world not playing for Liverpool. He's a beautiful man who plays beautiful football. I think he often gets overlooked when we think about the great players that have played the game. A lot of that is down to the fact that he never even considered leaving Rome. But I have no doubt that had he moved on to a club like Real Madrid he would have been talked about as one of the best of all time.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic- That goal against England. You know which one I'm talking about. I literally came up off the couch and said "WTF". The wife who isn't even interested in football said "That is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen." Technically gifted, strong on the ball, can score goals from anywhere. Sounds an awful lot like Totti to me. Zlatan is great and he knows it. I could sit around all day and read his twitter feed.

Kevin Volland- Might not be a huge name now... but I've been watching him for a few years now and I really think he's going to be huge. Can play as a striker or on either wing. Has pace and good strength. I fully expect him to take that next step next year, but he needs to move to a larger German side eventually.

Sergio Ramos- Fullback, centerback, winger, midfielder, whatever. Where do you want him to play? He can play anywhere. He can be rash, he can get sent off, but I think that's what makes him so great. He's fearless, and he plays with passion. You don't stay in a side like Madrid's for as long as he has unless you're supremely talented.

Daniele De Rossi- The best defensive mid in Europe. Before you start screaming Toure, I think Toure is a more traditional center mid. De Rossi is another one club man who has performed for both club and country. He does the business, no flair, no fancy flicks, just hard nosed football. Clubs like Citeh and Chelski have both tried to pry him away from Italy, but like Totti he LOVES Roma.

Lazar Markovic- Doubt he'll be at Benefica for very long. If Liverpool were smart, they'd bring him in. He's just their type of player. Fast and has amazing technical skills to boot. He's going to be a massive player.

Andrea Pirlo- In his younger days you'd see him score some pretty outlandish goals, and watch him bomb forward from more advanced positions, but as he's aged he's learn to use his amazing ability to pass the ball to control games. Not just control games but dictate the way his team plays, but also the way the other team plays defense. One pass from deep by Pirlo can take out the entire opposition defense and put his strikers in on goal. It's quite amazing to watch.

Stephan El Shaarway- Injuries have really put a damper on his season this year. I still think he's got the talent and I enjoy watching him play. I just wish I got to do more of it. Hopefully he'll take the next step next year.

A lot of Dortmund supports have been dreaming of Volland to be Lewandowski's replacement. I don't think that will happen, but it would've been an amazing move for them.

Not sure how you can't love Ibra, such a boss De Rossi is a legend, he and Totti are the closest thing any club has to a Stevie G. El Shaarawy I rate highly and would love for us to go in for him in the Summer. Volland turns out pretty beastly in FM

The constant bulge in my pants would be uncontrollable if signed either El Shaarawy or Volland. Both of whom fit our transfer policy.

Totti is a legend. It's unfortunate he couldn't get a second Serie A title, but it doesn't really matter in the long run. Guy will be remembered as one of the best.
