DirecTV to no longer carry WWE PPV events

This seems like an odd move on the part of DirecTV. Does anybody know the reasoning behind it?

They're joining Dish who chose to pull all WWE PPVs off their schedule back in February.

Their public reasoning is they're not going to offer the PPVs at $60 when WWE Network subscribers are getting them for $10/month. So, they're "protecting" DTV subscribers (you know, because cable/satellite companies are looking out for the common man!).

The read between the lines reasoning is they're pissed they won't be making as much money off WWE now, so this is to spite them.

And they also know they can get leverage over WWE when it comes around for WM31 and WWE is debating whether or not they keep the PPV on the network, or try and get it off because subscriptions aren't where they want it to be.
