NBC locks up Olympics rights through 2032

NBC to spend $7.7 billion for U.S. rights for both Summer and Winter Olympics on various platforms.

I feel like the IOC pulled a fast one on NBC. I don't see what incentive they have (besides 7 billion dollars) to strike such an advanced deal. I imagine they are predicting decline in the Olympics otherwise they are leaving money on the table if the Olympics were to grow... then they could get even more $? Thoughts?
