Rodgers named LMA Manager of the Year

The Northern Irishman is the first Reds boss to ever receive the accolade - which is voted for by every LMA manager, including all 92 professional league clubs - in his second term at the helm.
Rodgers guided Liverpool to a second-place finish in the Barclays Premier League as they pushed Manchester City all the way in pursuit of the title and secured a return to the Champions League. This after they'd finished seventh the season before.
In doing so, the Reds' exciting style of football yielded 101 league goals in total - a club record in the top flight.
On Monday night, at an awards ceremony in London, Rodgers' efforts throughout a phenomenal campaign were recognised by his peers as he accepted the prestigious LMA prize.

    Well deserved

Didn't Pulis win the Premier league MoY award, why are there two awards?

League manager is all 4 English leagues. So conceivably someone from any league could win it. Though Rodgers probably deserved both. Pulis also made a good case though.

I just don't get how someone wins Premiere MoY and doesn't also win the overall MoY.

I had this discussion with my boy last night we were confused who'd actually won when news first broke, it's kinda retarded but only Prem managers vote for the Prem Award, all 92 vote for MoTY. Don't really see how you can be the best manager but not even be the best in your own league

Yea, Pulis has done a fine job, I have no issue with him winning something.

I despise his football but there's no denying the job he's done this season with Palace

Only 8 more to until he matches Joe Kinnear.
