Well you guys can mark me down as one of the few that will not buy another Xbox. It was a nice run. Plus my Xbox got RROD for the THIRD TIME this week. Call me crazy, but a complete system change is in order. Hit me up on PSN friday. I'll have Ratty Ratzlaff running on there.

I'm thinking about getting a ps3 as well. It's tough because all my friends are on Live.

They arent making money off us. Losing money actually. They are just going to get a broken 360 in exchange.

How is that? They're sales #'s go up as you buy a new one. Just because you returned it doesn't affect their sales. It affects the stores sales. Matter of fact, they'll do one of two things. Either tell the store to eff themselves and not take the system back, or take it back, repair it, and put it back on the shelf making more profit.

You're not harming them by doing this.

XP and Vista were wired with an authentication program called WAP. Or Windows Genuine Advantage. Which checked the authenticity of the Vista or XP OS, if everything checked out the OS ran as smoothly as it could (We're talking about Vista here).

The idea was that if XP or Vista couldn't authenticate it would force the computer to run in reduced functionality mode. This of course back fired on Windows as some of the legitimate users were still getting forced into the reduced functionality mode, despite having authentic copies.

I've heard rumors of Windows 7 having the same program, but under a different name. WAT, Windows Activation Technologies. Which is supposed to do the same as XP and Vista, just without forcing legitimate users into the reduced functionality mode. I'm not sure exactly how proficient this program is (the anti-piracy program) as I've never had a pirated copy of an OS. So I can't comment if it's working or not?

That WAP shit didnt work. I was able to get rid of that with 0 problems on several diff PCs I have installed windows on. All you had to do was locate the file, stop the process in task manager then quickly shred the file before it restarted then delete the shit from the registry.

Is that all they have/had? If thats the case they will never get rid of the pirating with their OS's.

Yeah me too. But I needed something for Netflix and I didn't want to shell out the $200 for a new 360. Just got the PS3 today and am so happy to be playing a legit baseball game.

BTW it's Ratty_Ratzlaff on PSN. Apparently spaces are a no-go on PSN.

Well I don't have MW2 for either system nor have I played it on either of my gamertags. I've played it online at a friends a few times and I suck pretty bad at it, so I doubt it could have ever been me getting many kills on you. So sorry, I'm not the guy.

And I payed $25 to get my Xbox modded in August haha.

1: I would rather see 100% of my money go to the developer as opposed to less then 1/2 of my money go to a big company from a game that I bought in a store.

2. Indie devs actually listen to their customers, I legitimately feel like I have a voice in determining their future games/patches etc

3. For PC- They don't have all that DRM crap like mainstream games(had huge problems with FM 2009)

So not giving money to people like EA, Activision ect. because they are big companies who give money to the little companies like IW, DICE ect ect to make great games is your reason? ... Then you list games such as AC2 and Mass Effect 2 who if they didn't make money would be cut really quickly.
