We talked about it last night that how LA isn't scoring more goals is just a head scratcher, as with all the offensive talent and fire power, they should just be putting in goals from all over the place.

They did make a good note yesturday that the Kings lost like five, 1-0 games, and also like eleven 2-1 games throughout the season, so really you start adding a few ties in there, and extra two points, they are easily over 100pts. So they are not really what you would look at as a true 8th seed.

I heard that today and started laughing. Apparently the Canucks are not finding it very funny and are pissed. Only problem is.....nobody is scared of the Canucks. Lol

Luongo's contract is simply untradeable. Not sure what they can do where that's concerned.
No team in their right mind would take Luongo's contract (ok ... maybe my team, they took Scott Gomez), but in all seriousness, the Canucks are screwed.
Stuck with a playoff choking goalie until 2021.
The Canucks, like my Habs, have to hope like hell the NHL changes the cap rules to allow an amnesty clause.

There's not a chance Luongo lasts till the end of that deal. He's 33 now so you can safely expect maybe 3 to 4 more years a minimum before his play declines noticable but then again you never know. Once he retires his contract (per the cba right now) comes off the books.

I don't think Luongo is the problem though. He played well enough in the first two games to get a win it was basically his team taking dumb penalties in game 1 (Lou had 35 saves in that game) and quick stonewalling them in the last two games that has killed them. Having a hot goaltender can do wonders for a team (Anaheim anyone). Having an MVP hurt with a concussion also doesn't help.

At this point to if they are going to trade him away a situation like my leafs would be a good start where you get the goalie out of the conference will get cap coming back that expires shortly and has prospect talent that can make it worth it. If Schnider holds out and wants a bigger or long term deal this may become a reality soon.

Nice to see the Canucks get what they deserve.

They are the west's version of the Penguins.

Brown is awesome. Kesler's dive was embarrassing.

Although I want the kings to win, I'd like to see the Canucks get a game or two to wear Quick and the Kings down at least a little bit.
