ozzie looked lost through out the first period but he snapped out of it and finished strong. think wings will win it in 5 .

Tonight's game was great.
Like Babcock said, they didn't have the legs, but the motivation worked into the Wings favor and we ended up winning.

I'm thinking it's obviously gonna be hard for the Hawks to come back, but like i said on the beginning post, Wings in 5.

That said, it was a clean hit though, he just knocked Havlat senseless and made him pay for having his head down, even after seeing that Kronwall was coming. I feel bad that he had previous head injuries, but when neither ref had their hand up and all of a sudden he gets a 5 and a game after no whistles blew till the Hawks started coming in after Kronwall...it just kind of reeks of increasing the call solely because he knocked Havlat out cold.

I lost all respect for the Blackhawks tonight.

I thought this was going to be a great series, forming a great rivalry, with great gameplay on both sides.

Instead, they proved today that they don't belong in the same arena with the Red Wings, neither talent-wise or mentality-wise.

If there's anything that loses respect from fans, it's acting like an idiot and intentionally going out to injure people and cause trouble. That's what the entire Blackhawks team did today, and it proved that they're not ready to be this deep into the playoffs and not ready to even be on the same level with a team like the Red Wings.

The entire Blackhawk team and coaching staff should be ashamed of themselves right now. I have no more hope that this rivalry will be renewed, because it's not a rivalry when all that's happening is one team trying to instigate fights and penalties the entire time. I have no more respect for them, and I hope they just go back to anonymity and aren't in the conference finals for another 15 years. They don't deserve it.

This is playoff hockey and that shit happens. What, you are going to tell me that Kronwall wasn't trying to hurt Havlat either? I can also go look up the TSN segment from last playoffs where they showed how Datsyuk just about ALWAYS hits from behind?

You are losing badly in a crucial game at home, this happens. I'd rather see that team get angry than just allow them to get rolled over without a fight.


The hawks aren't ready to win a cup, but I'm glad to see that team have the success they have had and hope to see them competitive for a long time.

I agree...the team was down big in a do or die game at home...did you expect them to lay down and not play with a little fire? Shit happens, im sure the hawks coaches told Versteeg to high stick and give the Wings a 5-3, because you know obviously they arent ready to be there, the coaching staff must thing thats a smart move....
